25 Days in the DARK

for Linux and SteamOS users Note: The game is designed to run using the PROTON emulation layer. There is no native Linux version, as it does not work properly on Steam and is less efficient. Click the gear icon (in the library), select “Properties” and “Compatibility,” and choose “Experimental Proton” if Steam doesn't select it by default. Tests! About the Game Can you survive 25 days in a pixelated world inhabited by monsters, where the entire environment is hostile? Take on the role of a lost child who must hunt animals, fish, or gather berries to survive. But be careful! Even berries can kill you. Gather resources, craft items, and fight monsters and bosses to survive each day. But be careful at night and in dark places. Complete special tasks from NPCs that will allow you to advance the story, but be careful. If you don't complete a task on time, you may disappear from the world and have to start all over again. 0.00.1: "The first idea" 17.07.2025 0.10.1:Game Systems 28.07.2025 -day and night -health bar -first monsters 0.20.0: EQ 02.08.2025 -bug fixes 03.08 -enhanced appearance 04.08 -optimization for more items 06.08 0.30.2: graphics update 08.08.2025 -Texture change 09.08 -change in player animation 11.08 -more animations 12.08 0.40.3: Big optymalization 20.08.2025 -optimization that hides everything off-screen 21.08 -graphic settings 23.08 0.43.8: Day counter and the rest of the interface 24.08.2025 -That's all, really. 0.48.0: "Hard work" 26.08.2025 -random monster spawn 26.08 -better systems 26.08 -simplification of monster behavior 26.08 -additional optimization 26.08 -additional creatures 26.08 -first cutscenes 26.08 -error correction 26.08 0.50.5: "working prototype" 27.08.2025 A playable game that can be completed! 0.53.0: "grass texture update" 28.08.2025 -4 new grass texture! 28.08 -merging of biomes 29.08 -new tree textures 30.08 -big optymalization! 30.08 -new rendering system 31.08 0.54.0: NEW MAP and textures 31.08.2025 -new map 31.08 -new textures 01.09 0.55.0: Village 02.09.2025 -cottages 02.09 -NPC 03.09 -potato 04.09 0.56.0: New Monsters! 05.09.2025 -"oko" 06.09 -new Zębokwiat jumpscare 07.09 -gun 08.09 -potato boss 09.09 -potato boss animations 10.09 -potato boss first atack 11.09 -potato boss HP 12.09 -vines 13.09 -temporary stoppage of work on monsters 14.09 0.57.0: a more diverse map 15.09.2025 -leaves and trees 15.09 -biomes 16.09 0.58.0: monsters + 16.09.2025 -noise 17.09 -bird 18.09 -wasps 19.09 0.59.0: improving mechanics 20.09.2025 -new sword striking system 20.09 -better eq 21.09 -new soundtracks 22.09 0.60.0: BIG UPDATE 23.09.2025 -shelter 23.09 -speed potions 24.09 -heart potion 25.09 -"Dream_Word" biome 26.09 -new EQ 27.09 -zoom 30.09 -building 01.10 0.61.0: new systems 03.10.2025 -stamina and run 04.10 -graphics update (new shadows and effects) 05.10 -building+ 07.10 -"jaskinie" 08.10 -new raw materials 09.10 0.62.0 Just adding new things to the mechanics that were already there 10.10.2025 -carrot 11.10 -New camera 12.10 -dash 13.10 -"dzbanek" 14.10 -komar 15.10 -new grass teksture (for optymalization) 16.10 0.63.0: New systems! 17.10.2025 -GAME SAVE 17.10 -fishig system better 18.10 -character animations 19.10 -monster fight 22.10 -goblins 23.10 -Dead animation 24.10 0.64.0: Updates to finish survival 25.10.2025 -Updates 25-31.10 0.65.0-0.70.0: story 01.11.2025 -(Days 1-5) 0.70.0-0.75.0 16.11.2025 -(Days 5-9) 0.80.0: SUPER OPTYMALIZATION/FPS BOOST 0.81.0: Boss drzewny 29.11.2025 -(Day 10) 0.85.0: TASKS 30.11.2025 -Day 11 30.11.2025 0.86.0 03.12.2025 -small changes 0.87.0 05.12.2025 -small tasks 0.88.0 07.12.2025 -new music 0.89.0 08.12.2025 -Pierog boss start -Pierog IV boss end 0.90.0 11.12.2025 -HARD WORK 0.91.0 13.12.2025 -lost days 0.92.0 14.12.2025 -specjal animations -teksture 0.92.0-0.95.0 25.12.2025 -ENDING 1.00.0: 27.12.2025 -Singleplayer ready! 28.12.2025 -Repairing a corrupted save 31.12.2025 1.01.0: NEW MONSTER and new systems 05.01.2026 -GLIZDA 06.01.2026 -Game Test 07.01.2026 1.02.0: BUG FIX 11.01.2026 1.03.0: BUGS FIXED 16.01.2026 1.04.0: VOID 18.01.2026 1.05.0: THE BIGGEST OPTYMALIZATION! 21.01.2026 1.06.0: Effects 23.01.2026. 1.07.0: Small changes -Game testing and repairing 24.01-05.02. 2026 1.08.0: -Texture improvement 06.02. 2026 1.09.0: -Code optymalization 21.02. 2026 -Preparing the game for release 24-28.02. 2026 1.10.0: 05.03.2026. -HARD mode. -Minimizing the shaking of objects. -SteamWorks activation -I'm checking the information needed to release the game on Steam.
