A la Card

A la Card is a food truck deckbuilding roguelike where you'll mix and match the best aspects of every card you find to create absurd synergies and make new discoveries every time you play! Stick the effect of one food onto another . Change what triggers that effect in the first place. Swap stats, inherit flavours, and cook up clever combinations no one else will . Every run is an ebb and flow of cramming as many calories as possible into the window before hittin' the road to slap together the most powerful cards you can conceive of. These people want food? Oh you'll give them food. But it won't be enough to just make a really big burger. Zany bosses bring self-contained puzzles to navigate, testing your deck's flexibility. They'll slip you a card and refuse to leave until you serve it to them or clog the window with half-eaten scrap. You'd better be able to improvise . Served with a garnish of tasty tunes made to order by Josh Whelchel. Features: Sequence your cards to make the most of their effects. Skilled players are rewarded for clever plays. Combine the calories of your ingredients using powerful recipes , creating space to serve even more food! Random special events provide opportunities to change each and every detail of your cards: the colours, calories, effects, how you trigger those effects, and more! Each starting deck has a unique and powerful trinket that deeply impacts how it plays, and you'll find more trinkets to mix and match throughout your runs. Presiding over each location is a memorable boss with a unique ability . When big numbers aren't enough, you'll have to get creative! Win runs to unlock more starting decks, trinkets, and release even more cards into the pool for future runs. Revisit your favourite decks to take on special challenges and earn coveted stars! With hundreds of cards and dozens upon dozens of mid-game events and upgrades, no two runs are ever the same.
