ABOVE

THE SKY IS WATCHING. ABOVE is a narrative, atmospheric psychological horror game set entirely in broad daylight. You play as Joyce, a lone park ranger stranded beside her disabled car on a remote desert road in Idaho. The engine is dead. There is nowhere to hide for long: only temporary shelter, open ground, and the growing sense that something above you is watching, listening, and waiting. As you explore the surrounding landscape, you will uncover scattered diary fragments and brief, unsettling radio exchanges that slowly piece together a deeply personal and tragic story about family, guilt, and sacrifice. This is a compact, story-driven experience designed to be completed in a single sitting. ABOVE favors atmosphere, tension, and emotional impact over traditional horror mechanics, asking not how you fight, but how you endure. GAMEPLAY A minimalist survival experience with environmental fight back mechanics Sound-based tension where your actions can attract unwanted attention Exploration in a wide, open desert with limited and temporary safety Tools that help you observe the environment and sometimes what moves within it Risk–reward decisions where being noticed can be fatal Environmental objectives that require planning, timing, and nerve Subtle systemic pressure that escalates with every mistake Light procedural variation ensuring each run unfolds differently Designed to be completed in a single, intense sitting FEATURES Atmospheric psychological horror experience Set during the day Story-driven narrative revealed through exploration and dialogue Sound-based mechanics where only specific noises attract danger No combat: survival through movement, awareness, and timing Procedurally randomized objectives for replayability CONTENT WARNING This game contains themes of psychological distress, loss, and sacrifice.
