Abyss: New Dawn

Roadmap Abyss: New Dawn – Roadmap Toward Version 1.0 I don't want to draw up a pretty roadmap and then fail to deliver on it. So here's what I'm actually working on, until this game is everything it should be. Phase 1 – Clean Up Early Access means bugs. I know. You know. First things first - clear out whatever's getting in the way of just playing the game. Performance, stability, the moments that make you want to close the game and walk away. Crafting, inventory, progression - the things you touch every single day - will be revisited and improved. Goal: Stop making you frustrated. Phase 2 – Finish What I Started I'm not planning to turn Abyss into an endless game with new content every month. I had a vision from the beginning — and 1.0 is when that vision gets fully realized, nothing more, nothing less. Goal: When you finish the game, you feel something. Not emptiness. Phase 3 – Listen Not every piece of feedback is right. But there are things only you can see. UI that's hard to read. Mechanics that confuse. Small moments that break the flow. I'll fix those. Goal: Respect the time of everyone who chose to stay. ----------------------- One last thing: This roadmap may change - because sometimes reality doesn't match the blueprint. But the direction won't. ----------------------- Thank you to everyone who stepped into the Abyss with us - while it was still unfinished. - Dev About the Game --------------------------------- "The Abyss was not meant to exist. Something ancient still sleeps beneath its deepest layer." - Unnamed Explorer. --------------------------------- Descend into the Abyss... You were told to hunt them down. But the deeper you go... the more you wonder who the real enemy is. --------------------------------- A Living World, Split by the Abyss Six fractured realms stacked beneath each other - each with its own rules Glide, teleport, leap - the world rewards those who explore Some paths aren't on any map. Find them anyway. --------------------------------- The Things That Hunt You Back Every realm has its own apex predator - and they remember you Some are corrupted. Some are ancient. Some are both. A few can be avoided. Most cannot. --------------------------------- You Can't Fight What You're Not Prepared For Resources run out. Enemies don't. Mine deeper. Craft smarter. Descend further. The Abyss doesn't wait for you to be ready. --------------------------------- Build Something Worth Coming Back To Craft gear, cook meals, forge weapons Decorate your own space between descents Your shelter is the only safe place left --------------------------------- Not Everything Down Here Wants to Kill You Farm. Fish. Breathe. Peaceful moments exist - right before the next world tries to end you. --------------------------------- Tame Beasts. Ride Legends. Some creatures can be tamed - if you're patient enough Mounts don't just carry you. They change how you move through the world. A T-Rex at your side hits different. --------------------------------- Your Abyss. Your Rules. Customize your character before the descent No two playthroughs look the same
