AfterClerk

You have died. Now you sit behind the desk. In AFTERCLERK you are a clerk in the bureaucracy of the afterlife — a weigher of souls. One by one, the dead are brought before your scale. You read their ledger of deeds, weigh their sins against their virtues, hear their final words, and render the only verdict that remains: Heaven, or Hell. ⚖ Weigh the Dead Every soul carries a ledger. Some deeds are plain; others are ambiguous, and how you choose to read them decides everything. Tilt the scale, press your seal — but judgment is never as simple as the book pretends. 🕯 Every Verdict Is a Memory As the shifts pass, the souls grow familiar — a blanket child, a caretaker, a mother. Each judgment stirs a memory, and a buried story surfaces: who you were, how you died, and the name you lost. The dead you weigh are closer to you than you know. 👁 The Doctrine Tightens The Director watches every verdict. His doctrine hardens with each act — mercy grows costly, deviation breeds suspicion. Follow the book, or trust your conscience and risk everything. Your record remembers. Features A hand-crafted narrative across 18 shifts and 90+ souls Choices that matter — your verdicts shape four distinct endings A living record that quietly tracks your mercy, severity, and doubt Atmospheric art — hand-painted scenes and pixel-crafted souls An original, melancholic music-box score Fully localized in 14 languages The scale is yours. The dead are waiting.
