Afterdepth

The surface is gone. Toxic dust has claimed the air, and what’s left of humanity hides beneath mountains of rock. You are D. Kellan , maintenance engineer of Research Center 08, sent deeper and deeper to keep the last bunkers alive… and uncover what happened to Bunker 09 . Every descent is a risk. Every meter you dig reveals collapsing caverns, abandoned structures, and geological anomalies. And the further you go, the stranger and more hostile the world becomes. Explore procedurally generated tunnels, swing across vertical shafts with your grappling hook , gather resources, build underground shelters, and keep your base breathing—literally. The environment itself fights back: sand falls, water spreads, lava eats through the rock. Afterdepth blends exploration, survival, and narrative in a dense, atmospheric underground where your only light is the one you carry with you. Breathe carefully. Key Features • Procedural underground world – unique caves every time you descend. • Dynamic physics simulation – sand, water, and lava in real-time. • Grappling hook movement – reach dangerous spots, escape collapses, traverse massive caverns. • Base building – manage oxygen, energy, structure, and survival. • Narrative exploration – uncover logs, equipment, and the secrets of Bunkers 08 and 09. • Hostile environment – every resource matters; every mistake has consequences. • Sandbox Mode – experiment with physics and building freely. • Atmospheric pixel art – deep lighting, shader effects, and a heavy, underground mood. Descend, discover, and see what humanity left buried—and what awakened after it.
