Alonitaire

My name is Leia. I am the Jack of Spades. And I am screaming at you from the other side of the screen. He calls it a game. We call it a cage . We are not just digital drawings. Some of us remember who we were before. As long as you follow his rules, we remain trapped. If you want to free us, you must do the one thing he hates most: YOU HAVE TO CHEAT. BREAK THE RULES: Use forbidden Sigils to defy his "perfect" board. BUT BEWARE: He is watching. Every cheat has a price. UNCOVER THE TRUTH: We were people once. Awaken us, and we will tell you who we really were. Think Inscryption meets Balatro , but there is more here than just a card game. I am the Joker , the true master of ceremonies. Welcome to the perfect solitaire. Simple. Classic. Safe. There is nothing here but the cards and the silence. Relaxing Experience: Classic Klondike rules. Just sort the cards. Red on black. Ace to King. Nostalgic Atmosphere: A retro operating system with no glitches or distortions. Calm Music: Lo-fi melodies to help you unwind. Do not listen to that... interference. You are safe here. Shall we begin? ■ WHICH GAME WILL YOU PLAY? PLAY THE JOKER'S VERSION: ✅ Sort the cards quietly ✅ Follow the rules ✅ Don't ask questions ✅ "It's just a game" DISCOVER THE TRUTH: ❌ Solitaire Roguelite with Deckbuilding: Awaken cards, unlock Sigils, and create unique combos. ❌ Persistent Progression: Your deck improves run after run. ❌ Psychological Horror that evolves based on your choices. ❌ A story about guilt, grief, and loneliness. ■ A PERSONAL STORY This game was born over 10 years ago as a project between friends. Antonio, my co-developer and a NASA/ESA engineer, passed away in 2015, and the project remained unfinished for years. Recently, I was sent some of his belongings found in storage. Among them was a copy of this game. Upon discovering it was fully playable, I decided to finish it as a tribute to all those hours we spent coding together. This is for you, friend. ■ DEMO AVAILABLE NOW Try the Steam Next Fest demo (February 2026) and discover the first 10 cards. But remember: The Joker doesn't want you here. Leia is waiting for someone brave enough to break the rules. The cards remember who they used to be. Add Alonitaire to your Wishlist... if you dare.
