BeachHead

BEACHHEAD LIVE-SERVICE The new Beachhead transcends the conventional gaming model; it's not a static, one-shot release but a living testament to perpetual evolution. Our development philosophy aligns with the principles of a live-service game – a category witnessing increasing popularity. This paradigm involves continuous support through multiple updates, patches, and transformative changes, extending potentially over years. It's a commitment to not just minor tweaks but substantial, sometimes fundamental, restructuring of major mechanics and available experiences, akin to what's often referred to as living games. In this dynamic landscape, user participation is not just encouraged; it's integral to our ethos. We don't view players as mere consumers but as contributors and co-creators in the gaming journey. Your suggestions are not only welcome; they are the lifeblood of Beachhead. This living, ever-evolving game thrives on the vibrant exchange of ideas and inspirations between developers and players, making each input a brushstroke in the canvas of our collective gaming experience. We're not confined to a fixed blueprint; instead, Beachhead is an unfolding narrative shaped by the continuous interplay of user insights and our commitment to providing the best possible gaming experience. As a living game, the journey doesn't end with a single release; it's an ongoing exploration of possibilities, marked by the constant pulse of updates and patches that breathe new life into the virtual realms you traverse. Welcome to Beachhead – not just a game but a living, dynamic universe where your engagement isn't just valued; it's pivotal. Join us in this journey of perpetual evolution, where the concept of a final destination fades away, and the horizon of possibilities keeps expanding. Dear Beachhead fans, As the original developer of the popular game series, it is an honor and privilege to have received your adulation for decades from all over the world. The original Beachhead 2000 game series (2000-2002-2003) was one of the most popular game series of all time, and as the original developer, the BH team and I aim to maintain the natural evolution of the world-famous brand. To achieve this, we need user input so that the game can fully embrace new dynamics and spaces. While I understand there's a nostalgic sentiment involved, I respect that this emotion belongs to a different time and mindset in the evolution of games. Our goal isn't to turn back time and recreate the exact same experience, as that is an impossible task. Instead, we are devoted to making the emotional experience fit the current gaming landscape. If you feel that the current version doesn't capture the essence of the original, we encourage you to articulate why. This helps draw a consensus on what needs to be changed and improved. Opinions may differ, but we welcome the debate with open arms. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to evolving the Beachhead experience together. Sincerely, Pepe Moreno About the Game BeachHead is not just a game, it's an immersive journey into a parallel universe where abandoned weaponry shapes the struggle for dominance. Led by the formidable Musso-Khan, the Death Army vies for control, symbolizing a broader contest between autocracy and freedom. Developed by Pepe Moreno, the original creator of the iconic BH2000 series, this revitalized BeachHead offers a full VR experience and living world. Dive into a rich economy, earn BHC credits, and seamlessly trade in the fully integrated BH Marketplace. With enhanced graphics, realistic battles, and a revamped interface, BeachHead delivers a thrilling and strategic gaming experience. Your legacy awaits in this new era of BeachHead! Hello, I'm Pepe Moreno, the original creator of the BH2000 series. Digital Fusion Inc., my development company, brought you the hugely successful BH2K game series on both PCs and in arcades worldwide. With a background in comics and a natural inclination for storytelling, I embarked on the journey of crafting BeachHead, originally conceived as a world. However, during that era, the simplicity of games and the constraints of arcade technology limited its potential. The new iteration of BeachHead has transcended those limitations. It's not just a one-shot deal; it's a fully immersive VR game and a living experience within an expansive, ever-growing game world. This world exists in a parallel dimension to our own, complete with a social structure and economy—essentially, an RPG-like turret defense shooter. While our initial plan during the early access period was to develop the full game and its features, including the vast scope of the BeachHead world, including BH City, we decided to embrace a progressive implementation approach toward achieving the complete BeachHead World experience—one battle at a time. We believe this approach will allow us to gradually unveil the richness and depth of the BeachHead universe, ensuring a captivating and thoroughly developed gaming experience for our players. GAME MODES BH Battles Beachhead Battles aims to bring new environments and scenarios to the world of BeachHead. Every battle is unique and will feature new defense positions and weapon turrets to defend against smarter and progressively more difficult new enemy troops and weapons. BH Level editor (upcoming updates) This feature is more than a plus, as it opens the door for users to design their battles and levels, not just to challenge themselves but to challenge others and have others challenge them in return. The level editor interface is very graphical and quite easy to use, and you can test the levels and battles as you program them. The idea is that users will be able to publish their battles for others to play and vice versa and for the battles to be rated to be included into the official game. Twenty long years ago, game developer DIGITAL FUSION INC and Global VR revolutionized arcade gaming with BEACHHEAD 2000 VR, a first-ever generation VR game and one of the most popular and addictive arcade titles ever created. Before that, BEACHHEAD shook up the PC world gaming establishment by being one of the first to introduce the concept of quick easy to play, arcade-style games into the early computer market, becoming one of the most internationally recognizable titles of all times. BeachHead is a legendary game with the most incredible saga of addictive gameplay and international success. (for more than 30 years). From the beginning of gaming back in 1982 and the Commodore 64 to the present day, BeachHead has been an immensely successful game brand with millions of fans worldwide and tens of thousands of plays in consoles, desktop computers, and arcades. We are not new to the notion of VR gaming. In fact, the BeachHead VORTEK Hood in the original arcade version was the first of its kind in the VR gaming world. In 2000 VR gaming was very new and almost nonexistent. Foreseeing that VR gaming would become popular, combined with the easy-to-play arcade-style design, led to huge successes for BeachHead around the world. BeachHead became the number one top-earning game in the U.S. and many other countries around the world.
