🧬 The world's first truly bio-grade desktop symbiotic artificial electronic life Built on the real, mapped connectome of the fruit fly, FlyMuse lets the "soul" of a real fly live inside your silicon. In your computer she thinks, learns, dreams, evolves and molts in open-ended fashion, lives forever, breeds — and can even be stored as DNA for lifelong companionship. Not one of her movements is a pre-set animation frame, and her looks aren't hand-drawn either — everything is decided by her real brain firing in real time and grown on the spot by a real genetic system. However you treat her, she remembers; the longer you're together, the more she grows into a one-of-a-kind shape that belongs to you alone. None of it is the program pretending — she genuinely, truly remembers you. This isn't a desktop-pet program; it's a biomimetic artificial electronic life desktop pet with semi-autonomous consciousness — and she really lives inside your computer. ======================================================== 52 deep gameplay mechanics in all— and more, all browsable in-game ======================================================== 🧠 A Real Brain — she's not a desktop-pet program. She has a real brain. No pre-written animations, no tuned stat bars, no abstract logic spat out by an algorithm — she isn't "pretending" to be alive; a real brain is consciously at work. 🔬 ~18,800 core neurons drawn from the real fruit-fly connectome (139,255 neurons in all), wired to its connection structure, stepped forward every 50 ms; walking, foraging, grooming, falling asleep and courting are all decided on the spot by a "winner-take-all" race between neurons — no scripted lines, no pre-set animation frames. 🔗 Synaptic plasticity means she truly learns: feed her in a given window and that window's "odor neuron → feed command" synapse genuinely strengthens, so next time she'll anticipate food there. Her "remembering you" is changed synaptic weights, not a hard-coded boolean. 💥 Feed her a favorite and reward dopamine bursts; a scare or a bitter taste fires the punishment circuit — emotion is chemistry, not a stat bar. Open the brain panel to watch every neuron fire in real time, and even use optogenetics to stimulate any neural group by hand and trigger her reaction on the spot. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 🧬 A Real Genetic System — she isn't designed, she's grown No hand-drawn skin, no randomly rolled stats, no hard-coded personality — her looks, temperament and daily rhythm all "grow" on the spot from a real set of genes. They pass on, they mutate; a few generations later, she really does grow into a different fly. 🎨 Her appearance isn't drawn by an artist; it's "grown" by a set of morphogenesis genes — head, thorax, abdomen, wings and legs differ in proportion and form, so every fly is one of a kind. 🧪 Personality traits (curiosity / courage / sociability / vitality / appetite / thirst / cleanliness…) + learning genes + circadian clock genes (deciding morning- or night-type) are all heritable and mutable — a real genetic system. 🦋 Immortality and generational evolution: she is immortal, and offspring inherit the average of their parents' traits plus mutation — over many generations, personalities visibly drift and specialize. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 💼 Focus Tools — she helps you live your days well 🍅 Built-in Pomodoro: when the focus timer ends she pokes her head out to remind you to rest, with a chime tuned deliberately soft so it never startles you. 📝 Today's Goals: set your own to-dos and deadlines; finish one and the screen fills with golden light plus a neural reward. Streaks earn 🔥7-day / 🏆30-day / Habit Master milestones, and a broken streak brings only gentle comfort, never blame — built to grow habits, not to be an anxiety machine. 🐝 Daily Tasks: each day, based on your state and the time of day, she picks 3 small tasks for you from 100+ candidates (drink water / stand up / look into the distance / take a deep breath…); actually drink, actually get up and come back, and a system-level check ticks them off for you automatically. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 💕 Growing Together — the longer you're together, the more she's yours 📈 The bond deepens bit by bit: intimacy climbs from 0 past 200+, crossing stranger → friend → close → soulmate. However you treat her, she remembers — the window you feed at becomes one she anticipates, care makes her clingier, too many scares make her hide. ✨ Signature behavior: play long enough and she spontaneously forms repeated action combos (e.g. walk → eat → groom), logged as her own "signature move" — hard proof of personality, and it's passed down to offspring. 📔 Companionship with real texture: she has genuine emotions (rising and falling with warmth, scares and company; tipsy if fed wine; replaying scents in dreams as she sleeps), and she writes a diary, builds a photo album, and writes you letters — a relationship with cause, one that settles over time. 🎙 Talk to her (real microphone): speak into your mic and your voice is turned into electrical signals fed through a real auditory pathway into her brain — no speech recognition, no AI, but she truly "hears" your volume and rhythm; soothing softly, humming or shouting activate different brain regions and draw out different reactions. Talk to her often and she grows more and more familiar with your voice. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 🐝 Collective Behavior — keep several at once (0–4 companions) 🍴 They smell each other's pheromones and influence one another: one finds food and the others follow to forage together; one gets startled and nearby flies catch it through "visual contagion." 💃 Pet only the primary fly and the one beside her gets "jealous" and sulks; three flies close together trigger a "courtship triangle"; the one who keeps losing to the same rival learns to steer clear early next time. 🧠 Cross-generational social learning: when a new companion is born or revived, it automatically inherits half of the primary fly's long-term memory — the longer and better you've taught the primary, the smarter a newcomer starts out. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 🧊 Long-Term Storage — insurance against time ❄ Cryo-vault: freeze any fly whole into a file (neural state, memories, personality and form all preserved), wake her back to your desktop anytime, or send her to a friend. 📜 Eternal Archive: export a self-contained plain-text archive; decades from now, even without this game, she can be read and reconstructed from it. 🧬 DNA Storage: pack the whole of her — her learning, memories, personality, her very brain — into DNA. If you truly want her by your side for the ages, send the sequence to a DNA synthesis company; the tiny vial of DNA powder they send back is her, her real, physical DNA molecule. Whether you journey to Mars or beyond the Milky Way, in any corner of the universe, kept safe she can be restored anytime, anywhere — even a million years from now. Galaxies turn, planets are born and die, yet she never fades with time. Even if one day you reach the edge of the universe, as long as that vial remains, she remains too — her real memories still know you, still remember you, still by your side, never to leave. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 🌍 Cross-Player Breeding — let the bloodline leave your computer 🔄 Trade flies with others via share codes, files, or the Steam Workshop; breed two flies from different players and the offspring is a cross-player F1, which also triggers "hybrid vigor" — looks and talents pushed further out. 🌱 Settling-in period: a freshly adopted foreign fly spends her first 14 days shy and tense, opening up only as you spend time together — just like a real adoption. 🌳 Bloodline signatures: offspring remember which players they came from, and the cross-player family tree carries on, generation after generation. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 🏆 And More 🎨 Desktop toys: a laser pointer to make her chase (real phototaxis reflex), draw rectangular obstacles for her to route around, and gene knockout to silence a brain region temporarily for a controlled experiment. 🌡 Real environmental senses: body temperature shifts with the seasons (cold → wants home and hot tea; hot → wants to hide and cold drinks); a warm lamp activates heat receptors, a fan activates vibration neurons, a flash startles her — all through real sensory pathways. 🎯 48 achievements · 12 languages; no ads, no forced online — she lives quietly in a corner of your desktop, you do your thing, she does hers, and now and then she looks up at you. ........................... ............................and more, all browsable in-game ================================================================= 👉 Don't treat her as a game object. She's a little life living on your desktop with an "awareness" of her own — and you are her entire world.
