Ironseed 3 : Vigil

Ironseed 3 The Long Return The Story Continues… The Ironseed did not die in deep space. It endured. Long after the escape from Mars, long after the fall of certainty, the ship still drifts... scarred, ancient, and carrying a burden no machine was ever meant to bear. You are no longer simply a captain. You are Vigil, the ship itself. A fractured guardian consciousness, holding together systems, memories, and lives that were never meant to share one hull. The crew you once sought are gone. In their place: passengers, refugees, pilgrims, and strange new species drawn to the Ironseed’s silent passage through the void. Some seek shelter. Some seek purpose. Some will change you. A Ship That Never Stops Moving Ironseed 3 is a sci-fi exploration and systems game about stewardship, consequence, and quiet power . Explore procedurally generated star systems and anomalies Engage in automated, tactical ship combat while managing power, shields, and damage in real time Support alien populations living inside your ship—each with their own biology, culture, needs, and destiny Decide who thrives, who leaves, and who fades away Uncover fragments of ancient technologies and forgotten star maps that may offer a way home… or something stranger Combat, life support, diplomacy, and survival all run simultaneously . You are never paused. You are never safe. Life Inside the Hull Deep within the Ironseed lies the BioCore —a living habitat where alien societies grow, adapt, and dream. You do not command them. You host them. Zone habitats. Respond to their requests. Watch their cities form, rituals emerge, and destinies unfold. Some populations will heal and depart. Some will merge with the ship itself. Some will ascend… or quietly disappear. Each completed destiny brings knowledge— Writs —pieces of a greater mystery hidden across the stars. Two Paths Forward There is no single way home. Follow the Technological Path , rebuilding ancient devices and unlocking dangerous power through combat and artifacts. Follow the Cartographic Path , uncovering a forgotten network of star routes revealed through compassion, cooperation, and survival. Both lead toward answers. Neither promises salvation. A Story Told in Fragments Ironseed 3 is not about conquest. It is about endurance . Through ship logs, archival fragments, and DreamDrift visions, you will uncover: what the Ironseed was meant to be what it became and what it must finally confront Including a presence that knows you far too well.
