Prescribe and Pray

Congratulations. Without qualifications, without a degree, and without the slightest credibility, the Last Breath Clinic entrusts you with the position of general practitioner within its hospital factory. Welcome patients, examine them, diagnose, and prescribe with caution. A mistake can happen so quickly… For any questions, complaints, or special requests, please refer to our motto: “Health has a price, and everyone must contribute.” Every patient is a potential fraudster. You have been warned. Fake name, expired card, invalid insurance? It’s up to you to keep undesirables from accessing healthcare. You are the last line of defense. Management is watching you… Put away your rudimentary tools: medicine is serious business. Fortunately, Management equips you with the finest French medical technology. True diagnostic weapons, including: a rechargeable battery-powered flashlight a thermometer that goes beep-beep an intra-auricular blood pressure monitor a suspicious-odor sniffer Stranger-than-strange diseases… Visceral sensitivity to light (vomiting included), sudden appearance of a wagging tail, or instant hair regrowth… Here, every symptom is a surprise, every diagnosis a gamble, and every mistake leaves a mark—on your paycheck as well as in tomorrow’s news. Schemes, lies, bribes, and retaliation. Here, being a doctor is not limited to treating patients. Every decision matters. Some choices make survival easier. Others bring it to an end. In this world, a single mistake can cost more than your reputation.
