ROCKBEASTS

ROCKBEASTS is a rock & roll management RPG set in an alternative 90s America. Written by the principal writer of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, featuring voices from Baldur's Gate 3 and rock legend Iggy Pop himself, this comedy-drama puts you behind the scenes of the music industry's brutal reality. Every choice shapes your band's journey from garage obscurity to stardom—will you fight for creative freedom, or become industry sellouts? ROCKBEASTS tells an emotional, darkly funny story—but every beat unfolds through hands-on gameplay. You don’t watch your band struggle; you live it. Complete quests that define your journey, manage money, and fragile egos that determine success or simply survival. Craft setlists that make or break performances, repair equipment before shows, and take the stage yourself in rhythm-based concerts. There’s no coasting—this is an RPG where your actions drive the narrative forward, and every triumph and disaster happens because of what you did or failed to do. Navigate the music industry's moral minefield—negotiate with predatory record labels, compromise (or don't) on creative vision, and balance authenticity against commercial pressure. From jaded venue owners to music promoters, and stone-cold label executives — your legend is written through the relationships you forge, the deals you accept, and the lines you refuse to cross. Manage your band’s resources to keep it functional. Balance limited funds between feeding your musicians, repairing broken equipment, and booking rehearsal space. Keep them sane enough to survive and insane enough to keep it rocking! Prove your band's talent by constructing setlists showcasing their strengths, setting up gear that will emphasize their style and then giving on-stage dynamic rhythm-based performances. Success earns cash and brings the fans in. Failure costs you reputation and hits your band’s morale. Master the stage, and doors open. Fail and watch opportunities evaporate. Immerse yourself in a heartfully crafted alternative America where grunge, raging capitalism, and MTV collide. ROCKBEAST’s hand-drawn art style captures the look & feel of the best mature animated shows, bringing iconic locations to life—from legendary venues and dive bars to record stores, radio stations, and the gritty streets where the scene was born. Seventeen original full-length tracks capture the sonic landscape of 90s alternative rock, letting you not only enjoy the famous Seattle Sound but also perform it yourself at in-game concerts. This isn't nostalgia—it's a lived-in world that understands what made this era matter. Every day brings new challenges: egos clash, gear malfunctions and grinds of the industry slowly kill the creative spark. Will you turn garage noise into generation-defining anthems? Or will your band become just another cautionary tale of squandered potential? The music can change the world—if they survive long enough to be heard. And it’s only Monday.
