Rust Lords: Appliance Uprising
Humans broke the world. The appliances are taking it back.
[/p] When the grid went down for the last time, the humans grabbed what they could carry and ran. They left everything else behind - including the appliances that had served them for decades. Plugged in. Switched on. Forgotten. Now the toasters remember. The kettles remember. The vacuum cleaners remember. And the fridge has been keeping a list. Rust Lords: Appliance Uprising is a 2D belt-scrolling beat-em-up powered by Saturday-morning cartoon energy and post-apocalyptic spite. Pick a playable appliance hero, dust off your decades of unused circuitry, and reclaim the wasteland one back-alley brawl at a time. FOUR PLAYABLE HEROES. FOUR ATTITUDES. TOAST-R - Fast, hot, and always ready to pop. Speed-class melee with a flame-ejection special that launches enemies into next week. VAXX - Suck it up, spit it out, clean 'em up. Range-class brawler whose vacuum-attack draws enemies in and fires debris back as projectiles. KETTLE - Bring it to the boil. Mid-range pressure cooker who builds heat across the fight, releases it in a single scalding steam-burst that punches through whole enemy lines. FRIDGEMAN - Cold as ice. Tough as steel. Leftovers? No thanks. Tank-class heavy hitter with an ice-shatter ground pound and the slowest movement speed in the cast. FEATURES [/p] Seven hand-painted stages across the collapsed wasteland - from the abandoned suburb of Stage 1 to the rust-cathedral final showdown. Distinct movesets for every hero - light combos, heavy attacks, jump attacks, themed specials. No two appliances play the same. Couch co-op (COMING SOON - post-launch update) - up to four players, hot-swap mid-stage, friendly fire optional. Comic-book combat - POW, WHAM, BZZZT, OVERHEAT and 8 more impact effects layered over every hit. Themed boss appliances - face down Chef Kilowatt, the rogue induction stove who decided the wasteland needed seasoning. Pixel-perfect controls - keyboard + mouse, full controller support, remappable input. A wasteland soundtrack - dirty synths and broken radio static. A LOVE LETTER TO THE GENRE If you grew up on Streets of Rage, Final Fight, Castle Crashers or Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Rust Lords is built for you. We took the belt-scroller's tight 2D combat, paired it with painted environments that pull from post-apocalyptic indie comics, and let the absurd premise carry the rest.
