Vampire Therapist

Vampire Therapist is the BAFTA-nominated narrative adventure / therapy simulator in the vein (get it) of What We Do in the Shadows, Young Frankenstein, My Dinner with André , and Horrible Histories where you play as a reformed bloodsucker helping other vampires find inner peace. This isn't your typical visual novel — featuring a fangtastic cast (such as Matthew Mercer, Sarah Grayson, and Cyrus Nemati), Vampire Therapist teaches real therapy concepts with a story that explores what it means to live, die, live again, and maybe even how to feel alive. Because even vampires deserve to love themselves. Step into the boots of Sam, a reformed Wild West gunslinger turned vampire therapist. After centuries of bloodshed, Sam teams up with a 3000-year-old blood-sucking mentor in a moody German nightclub, to guide fellow vampires through the twists and turns of their immortal existence — offering them a chance at self-acceptance in a world that feels ever more alien. From self-loathing vampires who’ve witnessed millennia of human folly to agoraphobic social media addicts, and even those grappling with the trauma of seeing too many awful streaming series (we’ve all been there), Sam’s got his work cut out for him. With each session, Sam will challenge cognitive distortions using real-life therapy techniques to help his clients reconnect with reality — even if reality has left them behind. You can’t fix the world, but maybe you can help other vampires accept it. That is, if you can accept yourself first. What Critics Are Saying: "It's simultaneously earnest and winningly ridiculous...a labor of love, and an original one at that." — The Spectator "Vampire Therapist is shaking a lot of things up in one very elegant bag." — Rock Paper Shotgun "Every single character was memorable, and the thought of even more quirky clients for Sam to treat is exciting." — GameRant "I came away from Vampire Therapist actively wanting to emotionally improve and be kinder to myself" - GamesRadar Real Therapy Concepts: You’ll learn and apply real cognitive behavioral therapy concepts vetted by licensed therapists. By challenging client statements that contain “cognitive distortions”, you’ll help vampires see where their thoughts don’t match reality. A Comedic Look Through History: Meet emotionally damaged vampires from ancient Greece, Renaissance Italy, Tudor England, and the Bronze Age. An All-Star Voice Cast: Featuring Matthew Mercer ( Critical Role, Baldur's Gate 3 ), Francesca Meaux ( Hades ), Sarah Grayson ( Gone Home, Hades II ), Kylie Clark, and the game's creator, Cyrus Nemati ( Hades, Pyre ). Unique Setting: Vampire Therapist merges cozy self-introspection with a dark European goth vibe. In fact, the whole thing takes above a goth club in Germany filled with willing necks to bite. Minigames: Learn mindfulness meditation, safely and consensually bite sexy necks! Peaceful Play: You can't lose in Vampire Therapist, and you'll always have a chance to learn and try again... just like life! If you're looking for bad endings or want to kill NPCs, Steam has many excellent offerings for you. NOTE: Please read the content warning thoroughly before purchase. The game deals with mature and challenging themes that are not for the faint of heart.
