Background Hero

Want more out of your time-wasting games than just "numbers go up"? Background Hero is a RuneScape inspired skill-management and idle progression based game that aims to recreate that dopamine hit of maxing out a variety of skills. At the core is a deep roster of skills to train, from woodcutting and mining to smithing, cooking, brewing, magic, and more, each with its own resource chains, recipes, and gear to chase. Decide what to work on next, push toward the level that unlocks a better recipe or tougher node, and watch your completion ring creep closer to 100%. Every action you take builds Mastery, a system built around specializing. Stick with a favorite spot long enough and you'll unlock faster completion times, bonus yields, and a shot at not even burning through your materials. Keep your eyes open while you gather, because rare finds turn up when you least expect them. What you do with them is up to you: brew a potion, craft a piece of gear, or sell it off for gold. Beyond the daily grind, Achievements and Task Diaries lay out checklists that reward permanent bonuses once cleared, giving you something bigger to build toward. Looking for a change of pace? Send your hero off on treasure hunts for a shot at rare rewards, then haul everything back to the trade market to buy, sell, and gear up for what comes next. Background Hero rewards the player who commits to the grind. The more you dig into its systems, tuning your loadout, chasing mastery, and plotting your next upgrade, the faster your hero grows. Several skills for grinding and perfect for completionists who chase that 100% Each skill is populated with various items to actions to grind and items to earn Gathering turns into Production with thoughtful chains of resources Resource management at its finest with a fully fledged Trade Market & Inventory Tiered combat and gear that's rewarding to engage with, giving you a goal to work towards Cloud saves that function cross-platform with an in-game account An idling adventure at its core, the game plays when you're away and rewards you when you come back!
