🎯 Our Kickstarter is LIVE — Back Us Now! CivEconomy is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter. CivEconomy: From Bronze to Iron Experience the Bronze Age like never before - where every family's story shapes your civilization. A Living, Breathing Economy In CivEconomy, your civilization isn't just numbers on a screen. Every family is an independent economic agent with their own production, consumption, and dreams of prosperity. Watch as the Ishtar family grows from humble farmers to successful pottery merchants, while the Marduk clan struggles through a harsh winter, rationing their dwindling food supplies. Family-Driven Economy Each family produces, trades, and manages their own resources. Success breeds success - thriving families grow and split into new households. Economic specialization creates real risk and reward, and natural population dynamics are based on actual food availability. Meaningful Specialization Over 20 unique specializations from farming to bronze smithing. Families must successfully trade their goods for food or face starvation. Technology unlocks new opportunities - pottery wheels enable potters, copper smelting creates miners. Every specialization decision impacts your civilization's development. Deep City Management Design cities hex by hex based on terrain and resources. Clay gathering by rivers, mining in mountains, salt harvesting on coasts. Cities grow organically as successful families expand, with visual progression from small settlements to thriving Bronze Age towns. Strategic Combat Your citizens become militia to defend their homes. Tactical battles utilize city layout and terrain advantages. Every soldier lost is a worker gone. Progress from wooden clubs to bronze weapons as technology advances. Economic Simulation Real supply and demand drives your internal markets. Seasonal variations affect production and consumption. Food spoilage and stockpile management. Trade networks emerge naturally from family needs. Emergent Storytelling Follow individual families through generations. Economic success and failure create natural narratives. Watch dynasties rise and fall based on their choices. Every game tells a different story. Why CivEconomy? Most strategy games fake the economy — scripted rules, predetermined paths, optimal builds that everyone eventually finds. CivEconomy is different. Because every family is an independent economic agent, the depth is real and the possibilities are endless. There's no magical food distribution - families must produce or trade to survive. Demographics matter - elderly farmers produce less than young adults. Market failures have real consequences. Success comes from understanding and managing complex economic relationships. Perfect for: strategy enthusiasts who want deeper economic gameplay, history lovers interested in authentic Bronze Age challenges, players who enjoy emergent storytelling, and anyone seeking a fresh take on civilization building. Build a civilization where every family matters, every harvest counts, and every decision shapes the future. 🚀 Want to help build this game? We're live on Kickstarter right now.
