Max Savage

Wing Commander meets Zelda: jump into retro arcade space dogfights, then land on planets for action-adventure exploration. Talk to NPCs, uncover secrets, and push a story forward across the Kir system. Play as Max Savage , a Federation pilot stranded far from home after she refuses an order to execute a wounded pirate, Lara. Cast out by a petty superior and stuck in Kir, Max takes mercenary work to rebuild her rank, earn her way off-world, and survive a system crawling with pirates. Retro-inspired by 90s classics, built with modern amenities: fast to learn, satisfying to master, and designed for smooth play with today’s comforts while keeping that bold, over-the-top 90s energy. Space combat + planet-side adventure Arcade space combat: quick, punchy fights with that “one more run” feel Land and explore: planet surfaces hide secrets and rewards A living hub: return to a space station to meet characters, pick up jobs, and upgrade Progression that keeps you hooked Ship upgrades: buy and mix-and-match modules from a wide selection New ships: unlock entirely different vessels as you grow Character upgrades: improve Max for surface expeditions and exploration Play how you want: control your ship with mouse & keyboard, gamepad or a proper flightstick A distinct mixed-art style A unique look blending pixel art, comic art, and flat-shaded low-poly 3D. As Max and Lara grow from uneasy allies into true partners, Max learns Lara’s past: abducted as a child and raised inside the pirate life, she’s fighting for a way out, too. Take contracts, hunt pirate crews, help locals, and dig up what’s hidden on the planets below as you build the ship, the skills, and the reputation needed to finally leave Kir behind together.
