Mortal Advocate

"In the year 21XX, there is no rest for the dead—only servitude." The world is ruled by an Emperor of unparalleled power, who commands the fate of millions in life—but also after death. He promises safety and dominion. In return, he demands absolute obedience. You are a servitor—stripped of your name, your past, and your future. Bound by laws you did not choose, you exist as one small cog in the vast Imperial machine. There is no room for hope. No place for choice. No path but the one carved for you. …But between a preordained future and an immovable past, something glimmers with a tantalizing light—something no one counted on you finding. An impossibly thin thread of liberation. A path beyond the possible.
