plexum

welcome to plexum... In plexum, you are taken by a mysterious technological marvel and carried across an ever-changing chain of planets. Extract resources, design efficient production lines, and expand your capabilities — but nothing lasts forever. Each planet is a temporary opportunity, for both you and the marvel, to gather what you need. As you travel, you’re forced to leave everything you built behind. Not all is lost, however — every system you create feeds into a larger progression, where planning, efficiency, and smart use of resources determine how far you can go. Ever-changing planets Traverse a chain of distinct planets, each with new resources and constraints Adapt your production setups to different environments No two planets feel the same Planets introduce hazards such as extreme temperatures, toxic conditions, or unstable ecosystems - requiring you to prepare ahead while making the most of your current opportunity. Build and optimize systems Place machines, connect processes, and create efficient production chains Refine layouts to maximize throughput and minimize waste Turn raw resources into increasingly complex outputs Construction follows clear rules: foundations anchor your builds, floors enable expansion, and machines depend on structured setups - you can't just place anything anywhere. You don't stay Progress pulls you forward - whether you're ready or not Leave your builds behind as you move to the next planet Every decision matters before it's gone There is no endless optimization - only constant progression. What you build is a means to move forward, not something to perfect forever. Nothing is wasted Systems you build contribute to long-term progression Balance short-term efficiency with long-term gain Plan ahead to get the most out of every planet Progress isn't just measured in resources, but in experience - nothing is strictly gated, but pushing forward unprepared comes at a cost.
